The picture above started out as a simple line:
The technique i used to create the line was with the "Ellipse tool"set on the "Paths" option at the top right with the Ellipse tool selected.
These are the two tool used to create and move/manipulate the double circle once it has been drawn, the black arrow aka "Path Selection Tool" is what is used to edit the shape of the circles and to be allow to move them around and duplicate the first circle so that the gap between the circles is not constantly the same. (if drawing more than one line)
The boxes at the right of the above picture show which path that the image will fill, the one currently selected is the one which allows you to fill the space in-between the circles.
After the line is drawn, i used the ripple tool to get the above effect.
The ripple tool is in Filter>Distort>Ripple.
Also set at Size: Small, Amount: 622%
After which i used these Blending options.
The techniques used to make the line could be used for making an aura around someone or to make a select work area so that i can't accidentally delete or edit apart of the photo.
The manipulation of the line can lead to different shapes and effects being created, the same with the blending options which create more effects to be added.
